Now Mods, before you move this to the Movie section. I wanna know how everyone thinks Broli would have been written and where he could've been placed in the Manga had AT wrote Broli instead of Toei. Which arc do you think he could fit into? How powerful should he be, not how powerful you think he is> This is for this Thread, forgetting where you think his M8 and 10 self is, and where you think he would be in the Manga? Would his look stay the same? Now, here's one for everyone, if you could write the Manga... Which arc would you put him in? How powerful would you make him? And lastly, would you change his look? Now, this isn't a competition about who's idea is better, nor is this to argue over M8 and M10 Broli. This is an idea about Broli from a Manga standpoint. I usually would put this in the GT/Movies section, but since this is from a Manga perspective, I thought it's appropriate for this to go here. And please, don't start this into a Broli argument, I'm only asking once. |

This is a good question, I feel I can get involved  I imagine it would have to be the Cell Arc, as a replacement for Cell, if we have to keep his powerlevel the same. I would have it that after the Frieza saga we are then introduced to the Broli saga. I would make him as powerful as he is in the first movie but I would introduce a couple filler characters that could be used as fodder to ease Goku and the gang into the final fight. I like his look, I would have kept it the same. I would change his personality though. I would make it so that when he isn't in the final form he is actually quite a talkative and intelligent person who comes up with schemes and the like. Not as intelligent as Cell but I'd make him at least rounded enough to hold down a conversation. His final form would be the same rage fueled monster we all know. |

Awesome, thanks. I feel that instead Kakarrot dying during the Cell Games, that he should've lived and a Broli arc take place after between the Cell and Boo arc, but only after Kakarrot achieves SS2. I would make a scenario where Gohan is in the Rosat, so he couldn't sense anything. Kakarrot is SS2, but he's still weaker than Cell Games Gohan, but Kakarrot has to win much like he did in M8, but as an SS2...just the energy he gathers is equal to CG Gohan to beat Broli. I'm sure exactly what it is, but there's something about Broli's look that I just don't like, I just don't know... |

Initially I wanted to put it in the same place actually but thought it would be pointless due to the fact Cell had been taken out by Gohan and saw no way around this. I lack your creativity though haha as this makes sense and is a good way of manipulating the plot. Removing Gohan and enabling Golu to go SSJ2 would also make the SSJ2 transformation a little more useful as it was under-utilised except for the Cell fight. |

If Toei had just written in Gohan and Goku being Super Saiyans the whole time it would have been just fine. A: In the Manga, he's probably be about as tough as Perfect Cell. He's threatening BECAUSE he can toss around Goku and Trunks while they're fighting full force rather freely. Almost like watching the Avengers duking it out with the Hulk before Thor shows up, it sells the danger. Would his look stay the same? Probably not. I wouldn't radically change him. Maybe base form Broly could be a little scrawnier (I like Trunks' "And Broly's a toothpick" comment, but he was about Trunks and Vegeta's size anyway) Now, here's one for everyone, if you could write the Manga... Which arc would you put him in? I still gotta put it right before the Cell Games, give Goku an official hurrah without doing a "Gohan is ready to surpass you tease" like they kept doing with Frieza. Especially since he didn't GET to fight the Androids, he needs a good fight to show off how awesome he's gotten. And him needing to beat Broly and trying so desperately, then handing Gohan Cell just SELLS it so much better. It also makes Cell more threatening by comparison. How powerful would you make him? He took on 4 Super Saiyans and a Super Namek at the same time. I think that's the perfect level of threatening. And lastly, would you change his look? Not so much the look, I'd go for the personality. Maybe give him a few more lines, make him soft spoke and loyal, until he loses it around Goku. I think it sells the bipolarity more and gives him a distinct feeling of Dissociative Personality Disorder, maybe as a result of being the Legendary Super Saiyan. |

Well, I also would've had a little break ((I would say 312 years), and then let Broli survive like he did in the Movies, but this time I would've had Kakarrot taking a trip to Otherworld to learn Fusion via King Kaioshin telling Kakarrot about some Techniques that he might interested in, making King Kaioshin not completely useless. I would have had Gohan train the entire time from Cell arc and until now, and not Goten or Chibi Trunks not involved in the second Broli arc, instead having Future Trunks return, and Vegeta in Goten's place. So, like in the Budokai arc Kakarrot talks to Gohan before Broli shows up that he'll return in a matter of hours, and that's when Gohan's real Training begins. Then let a lot of it play out kind of like it did in M10, but this time A severely weakened SS2 Vegeta, Barely hanging on SS Trunks, Just barely Transformed SS2 Gohan and of course a fresh SS2 Kakarrot defeat Broli. Mainly because logically that's how Broli should be defeated the second time around. Vegeta firing his Gyariku Ho, Trunks firing his Burning Attack, Gohan fires a Masenks, and of course Kakarrot fires a Kamehameha. And this time instead of Broli getting blasted into the sun, the massive Beam completely destroys Broli before he leaves the atmosphere. Yes, I realize I didn't have The Namek in this. That's because I believe these should be Saiyan only, arcs, then when the later arc starts, have the Humans make their return, showing they can be powerful too, and not be left in the dust of the Saiyans. |

So only Saiyans kinda like the original "Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans" cut of the Hatchiyak special? Actually I can dig that. I feel like Future Trunks falls a bit far behind not being an Ascended Saiyan, but all things considered he only had that crop up during Budokai 2 and 3 so it makes sense in-universe. |

I'll merge the two sections of questions.
- I think he should get his own arc. In the period between Cell and Boo. Instead of Gohan slacking of, he would have to deal with Broly, with Vegeta finally turning SSJ2 on-screen. If it has to be in an arc, I'd say early Boo arc. Goten and Trunks would form their friendship and become SSJ together, without Gohan and Vegeta knowing. Krillin and the other humans would have to help in some fashion, and we would be able to see Krillin and 18 getting together.
- Somewhere in between Cell and Boo, obviously.
- Mostly. I'd give him a different gi, however. I'd give him a black overall gi. I would also change his personality a little, giving him a more intelligent presence. He wouldn't need an army of goons, like Freeza. Also, he is not interested in killing Goku anymore, he wants to kill Vegeta, giving them a backstory of some sort. Vegeta bullied him or something. |

I would have liked to see him as his M10 Self ... looking for Goku .... during the 7 years between the CG and Buu Saga Gohan SSj2 going to fight LSSj Broly and loses Vegeta is shocked to see another saiyan alive and that too , as a LSSj .. Vegeta goes SSj2 out of Rage He and Gohan [as SSj2's] defeat LSSj Broly together good way to give more time to Gohan and Vegeta's Relationship |

Dude! Krillin and 18 could get a wedding arc during the timeskip and Broly could be the one that crashes it. So then Gohan, Goten & Trunks, Vegeta, Piccolo, 17 and the rest all have to get it together to take him down. Gohan, Krillin and 18 could even get the finishing blow and seal it (You know, since Gohan's probably Krillin's best man since he's close enough to being Goku). |

I'd replace the Buu saga with Broly and use it as a turning the SSJ power against the heroes. If you look at the Freiza saga- the Cell saga the SSJ power has always been the hero's trump card so to see it turned against the heroes would have been different. I would have given Broly SSJ to face off againts Gohan before going LSSJ and beating Gohan and Majin Vegeta. SSJ3 would beat LSSJ before Broly goes LSSJ2 which is enough to hold off Gotenks up to SSJ3. LSSJ3 would battle Gohan and Gotenks before Vegito begings beating Broly but Broly's power disolves the Potara and Goku and vegeta would have to stop the LSSJ would when then go Legendary Golden Ape becoming the Legend that Vegeta fears. |
